Westworld’s season 2 trailer shows the automatic robot uprising has just begun BY SAEED NASIR

Westworld’s Season 2 trailer was just shown today by HBO at Hall H at San Diego Comic-Con, and the web host uprising has finally come. The spot starts with a new player piano starting up and Bernard Lowe (Jeffrey Wright) staring at the body of a deceased tiger, all while “I Gotta Be Me” by Sammy Davis Jr. cheerfully plays on in the backdrop. Soon after, we see Maeve (Thandie Newton) looking calmly over a arena of carnage, and Dolores (Evan Rachel Hardwood) on horseback, aiming a weapon at partygoers. The Man in the Black’s face is splattered by blood vessels and he smiles slowly.

Westworld won’t returning until 2018 and a particular date is not announced yet. Thanks to how ambitious the creation is and where creators Jonathan Nolan and Lisa Happiness want to take their history, the next season will need some time before it debuts. Within an interview with Variety, Nolan said, “It’s an ambitious project, and HBO has encouraged us to make an effort and resources that people need to focus on each stage of that.”

Not that followers mind. Comic-Con this year featured a place transformed to look like Westworld, and it’s really easy to imagine devotees spending the next almost a year theorizing about where in fact the show will go.
