If you treasured Robin Williams’ 1995 Jumanji, and you’ve been getting excited about a worthwhile remake, then The Rock’s version might just be the thing you were waiting for. Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle sets another spin on the old Jumanji story, and we now have the first truck for it.
Dwayne Johnson himself distributed the truck on Facebook, gives us an over-all idea of what’s going on in the new film.
We’ve got a group of teenagers who hardly interact throughout their day-to-day senior high school life who all finish up in detention. While clearing up a basement, they discover an old gaming system which still works. Each one accumulates a personality in the game, and they’re transferred into it.
In the original Jumanji, Robin Williams’ identity gets sucked in to the game, and then return to real life years later.
These times which Jumani gaming to displace the game, which seems only fitted, but the strategy is slightly similar.
The four teenagers have to survive a dangerous world, but at least their avatars have special power. The Rock, as you might have guessed, is one of the four avatars in the game. The other three are enjoyed by Keven Hart, Jack Dark, and Karen Gillan.
In other words, we’re probably in for tons of action and lots of laughs, judging by this first trailer.
Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle launches on Dec 22nd
