Vijay Chavan, who highlighted in more than 350 movies, was apparently not keeping well for years and had been admitted to the Fortis Clinic in Mumbai for the last four to five days after his health deteriorated.
Veteran Marathi actor Vijay Chavan, known for his comic tasks, died on Fri day at a medical center after a prolonged illness, a medical center standard said. He was 63.
The actor, who may have presented in more than 350 movies, was reportedly not keeping well for quite a while and was starting treatment at an exclusive hospital here.
“He was admitted to the Fortis Clinic in Mulund since the last four-five days as his health experienced started out deteriorating. He passed away today morning hours at about 5,” the hospital official advised PTI.
Chavan, who also highlighted in numerous takes on, is best remembered for his comic functions in Marathi movies such as Jatra, Zapatlela, Pachadlele, Mumbaicha Dabewala and Shrimanta Damodar Panta, among others.
