Remembering Rhonda LeRocque, the Tewksbury mom killed during Las Vegas shooting BY SAEED NASIR

 

Rhonda LeRocque, the 42-year-old Tewksbury mom who was taken during the mass shooting in NEVADA on Oct. 1, was remembered throughout a memorial service over the weekend.
More than 1,000 people jam-packed the Tewksbury Memorial SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL to pay their respects to LeRocque, who was simply called a “beautiful” and “talented” female by her husband, Jason LeRocque.

“Rhonda was the center of our world”
LeRocque’s husband experienced a statement released through the memorial service. The affirmation was read by a member of family.
“Rhonda was the center of our universe, a lovely, talented and someone who made throughout her feel her welcome and treasured,” Jason LeRocque said. “The show of support from family, friends, participants of your congregations and the city is assisting us through this incredibly difficult and heart-wrenching time. Today was another exemplory case of support from the community all around us.”

LeRocque was at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in NEVADA
On the night time of the mass taking pictures, LeRocque was with her spouse, their 6-year-old little girl Ali, and another relative. The couple of 21 years decreased off Ali with their relative then visited the concert. LeRocque was one greater than 50 people who have been killed when Stephen Paddock opened flames on the audience from his Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino accommodation.

A woman tried to help LeRocque as she was taken to the hospital
After LeRocque was taken, people bounded her and helped carry her to a vehicle. She was rushed to a near by hospital. A woman on the pick up truck continued to attempt to treat LeRocque during the ride.

LeRocque’s man said “heroic” acts by many helped his wife
“Because of the heroic efforts of a few individuals, we could get her to the trauma center at University or college INFIRMARY while still inhaling and exhaling, however after a few hours her life tragically concluded,” Jason LeRocque wrote in a affirmation. “I had been with her the complete time.”

 

Fundraisers created to help the LeRocque family
There were several organizations that have helped the LeRocque family after her loss of life. One GoFundMe.com fundraiser reached just over $95,000 in donations by Oct. 15.

 

LeRocque’s beliefs was an important part of her life
The Jehovah’s Witness congregation led the worship ceremony on Saturday. LeRocque was a dedicated Jehovah’s Witness, dispersing the subject matter of the Bible. She served disaster relief initiatives in places like Louisiana, Mississippi, Florida and Jamaica.
