Kelly said she was ‘at the gym all the time’ a couple of years ago
US vocalist Kelly Clarkson has said she wished to destroy herself when her profession was at a top in the mid-noughties.
She told Attitude journal: “AS I was really thin, I wanted to kill myself. I got unpleasant, like inside and away, for four many years of my entire life.”
Citing pressure from music professionals, she added: “But no-one cared, because aesthetically you make sense.”
The North american Idol winner added: “It was an extremely dark time for me personally. I thought the only path out was stopping.”
She said just how she kept her weight down was by constantly doing exercises, which she admits took its toll on her body.

Kelly won the first American Idol in 2002
“I like wrecked my knees and my foot because all I would do is devote earphones and run. I had been at the fitness center all the time.”
The vocalist said that she converted things around following the release of third album My Dec in 2007, when she required creative control of her job by producing and co-writing the complete record, which got a darker, rockier audio.
“There’s a track on My Dec called Sober. There’s this line ‘selected the weeds but stored the plants’ and I simply live my life by that because you are who you encompass yourself with,” she advised Attitude.
“I was around some really negative people, and I acquired from it because I needed a lot of great people there, too. It had been a case of turning around, facing them and walking toward the light,” she added.
