Bollywood celebrity Priyanka Chopra thanked her mommy Madhu Chopra for elevating her to trust in herself and urged people to do their best to “inculcate sense of self-assurance” in young girls.

The 35-year-old professional required to Instagram where she posted a good picture of her with her mom and captioned it with a touching and motivational subject material. “As cliched as it may sound, my mother is my #GirlHero. She is a feisty female that originated from a tiny town, who ran in another country to follow her desire job. She was a health care provider in the armed service, has over eight different medical accreditations, is a qualified pilot and she talks nine languages!

“… She’s also an incredible mother, child, sister, better half, business partner. She’s the main one who informed me that I possibly could be everything I would like to be. So in retrospect she’s my #GirlHero. It’s so important to inculcate that sense of self-assurance in girls around you…” Priyanka published as she celebrated the International Day of the girl Child.

As cliched as it may sound, my mother is my #GirlHero. She is a fiesty woman that came from a small town, who ran away from home to pursue her dream job… she was a doctor in the armed forces, has over 8 different medical certifications, is a certified pilot and she speaks 9 languages! She also used to drive around in an open top jeep (what a badass!), Whew! She's also an amazing mother, daughter, sister, wife, business partner… She's the one who taught me that I could be anything and everything I want to be… And that's why she's my #GirlHero… it's so important to inculcate that sense of confidence in the girls around you and hopefully that's what we do this International Day of the Girl Child. #DayoftheGirl @girlupcampaign @madhuchopra
