Bollywood actor Manisha Koirala, who’ll be seen portraying the role of Nargis – Sanjay Dutt’s mommy in Ranbir Kapoor-starrer Sanju, has stated she was at awe of Sanjay.

“I had been always in awe of him. I am his big supporter for a long time. Baba has a heart of platinum and has always been really humble.”

Manisha also shared her applying for grants taking on the role of Nargis: “I was really stressed for the role. But to play as Nargis Dutt can be an honour for me personally. Also, Rajkumar Hirani supported me all through the movie as confirmed me various films and documentaries which helped me to comprehend Nargis Ji,” she said.

She also exposed about dealing with Ranbir. “He’s a very great and hardworking acting professional. I could not differentiate between Sanjay and Ranbir through the throw,” she said.

When asked about who could portray her on the silver screen, she took Kangana Ranaut and Alia Bhatt’s name.

On the other hand, Koirala is all set to utilize Sanjay Dutt in their future political dilemma, ‘Prasthaanam’, a remake of any 2010 Telugu film.
