Queen Bey is back her hometown to support those damaged by Hurricane Harvey. On Fri, Beyonc? seen St. John’s Church in Houston on behalf of her base, BeyGOOD. Joined by her girl Blue Ivy, her mom Tina Lawson, and her bandmate Michelle Williams, the performer put in time with some Harvey patients at the church she was raised in. Pictures and videos of the function are over Twitter, including one particularly affecting photo of Beyonc? embracing a survivor. Along with the Beyhive, understandably, seems as though its collective heart and soul might burst.
As Entertainment Tonight reported, Beyonc? took the level at the church, which she known as her “home,” and advised the crowd,
“I got maybe 9 or a decade old the very first time I sat there where my girl is resting. I sang my first single here and I just wanna many thanks for lifting my children up, for praying for me personally, and to be such an extraordinary example of what light and love is.”
She deemed the event a “celebration of survival” and called the attendees her family. Bey persisted,
“Houston is my home. I give thanks to God you are safe, your children are safe. I feel that really concerns is your wellbeing and your children as well as your family. I simply wanna say I really like you. I’ve been blessed so that I can bless other folks and I ask of God to keep to achieve that for other folks.”
During the event, she posed for images, registered videos, and hugged survivors and their families. With one point, this powerful image happened.
