Aishwarya Rai Bachchan’s new film Fanney Khan is reportedly a remake of Dutch movie, Everybody’s Famous. And some reports suggest that she’s taking her persona in an original direction. Based on the Deccan Chronicle, maker Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra is so impressed with Aishwarya’s work ethic that’s he has given her the liberty to take chances in the film.
“She now has a far more important role than the actress who enjoyed her part in the original film,” a source near the film said. “It was always one of the pivotal heroes. But now she’s been given far more importance in the script than what the initial actress received. Aishwarya performs a performer and has four tunes which she will sing herself for the very first time,” says the foundation.

Everybody’s Famous is a Dutch movie starring Josse De Pauw, Eva Vehicle Der Gucht and Thekla Reuten. It was nominated for a Best SPANISH Picture Oscar. Aishwarya’s reportedly participating in the part originated by Reuten. In the initial film, she played out Debbie, typically the most popular singer in the country, who’s kidnapped by the father of any aspiring teen vocalist after he loses his job. Anil Kapoor could possibly be playing the dad’s role, predicated on some leaked images we’ve seen from the packages.

Fanney Khan is directed by Atul Manjrekar and also stars Anil Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The musical comedy is planned for an April 13 release.
