Speculations are rife that Sonam Kapoor will soon get hitched to her very long time boyfriend Anand Ahuja. However, she actually is yet to confirm.
Responding to gender inequality, “misogynistic attitude” and stereotypes that continue to thrive inside our society, Bollywood professional Sonam Kapoor has said Kareena Kapoor Khan is placing a good example as she has worked well post her matrimony as well as pregnancy while the men do not have to handle such questions. The acting professional was speaking at the trailer unveiling of Veere Di Wedding where she was asked if she’ll continue working after she gets wedded.
“There is lengthy way before it happens (changing of mindsets). People like Kareena are arranging a good example. She got committed and then she was on the models and after expecting she was on the pieces. Shahid Kapoor acquired married have anyone ask whether he will work or not. There have been reports that Sonam will get married in May but the professional is yet to verify the speculation. Talking about her film, she further said, “This misogynistic way of thinking is what needs to change and maybe with films such as this things will change. We are wanting this film does well. It is important because of this film to do well so that people as women will get our space. We are able to break the wine glass for some reason or the other.”
Kareena, who was simply last seen in Ki And Ka opposite Arjun Kapoor, said, “I wasn’t pregnant after i authorized this film. I am lucky to truly have a husband who is so understanding. Aside from him, maker Rhea (Kapoor), stood by me. I had fashioned to call Rhea and tell her ‘I am pregnant and she must take someone else’.”
Talking about her future jobs, Kareena said, “I haven’t thought about what I will do next. Taimur is 16-month-old and I am giving him time and you will be promoting this film. Then I will decide how to proceed next but I promise to do a couple of films yearly.”

Expressing expects that Veere Di Wedding might bring in regards to a change in Indian motion pictures, Sonam added, “I don’t believe a film such as this has been created before. The first trailer of the film has the celebrities using cuss words. When asked about the censor qualification, Sonam said she is not the right person to touch upon it. “This question is way better asked to companies of the film. They are not here, there’s a reason they are not here. We don’t know. There is nothing at all objectionable in the film,” she said.
In the past, women centric film Lipstick Under My Burkha has confronted a tough time with the CBFC. The censor mother board, headed by Pahlaj Nihalani at that time, had refused to certify the film labelling it “lady oriented”.
