The synopsis moves, as Deadline says: ‘Divorce is hard. Writing custody is harder. Showing guardianship with the British Royal family whenever your partner marries a prince, in the unforgiving spotlight of London’s tabloid advertising, is next level.’

And yes, it absolutely is dependant on his life – it’s a comedy which came into being during a dialogue between Engleson and a producer called Farah, as they joked about how exactly different things could have been if he’d had children with Meghan, interpretation he could potentially have been connected to the royals for life. They pitched the show to WME and it got snapped up.
Though it is ‘loosely’ as in the show the male personality shares kids with his ex wife while in true to life Engleson and Markle didn’t have children.
