Lindsay Arnold was back the Dance with the Superstars ballroom after injuring her knee during rehearsals this weekend.
The growing season 25 expert, 23, performed with movie star partner Jordan Fisher on Monday’s semifinals show, using a tan knee brace. Their first boogie, an Argentine Tango, was to “Brother” by NEEDTOBREATHE, influenced by Fisher’s role as a mature sibling to his sibling Cory and sister Trinity.
Fellow pro Sharna Burgess, who was simply eliminated alongside her spouse Derek Fisher before this season, was on standby in case Arnold was struggling to dance.
“I was training the pro number and I actually just stepped up onto a stair and it thought like my whole leg provided out and discontinued working and I thought it was just a one-time thing and then it just happened some more times, just doing simple things,” Arnold said in the video tutorial from other practice, that was only shared with PEOPLE.
In the video footage, Arnold teared up during physical remedy treatment. “It’s aggravating because it’s the semifinals and I wish to boogie it with Jordan, and I simply hope this won’t stop me from doing that. That scares me,” she said.
Following the show, Arnold provided reporters an update on her knee.
“It feels good when it’s in the brace, that’s why I needed this [brace] on my lower leg tonight,” she said. “I honestly knew that I was going to dance with Jordan tonight – whatever I had fashioned to do to make it work. I possibly could not miss out on that. We have just one more week of dance together and I will not let Jordan boogie the finals without me.”
And after making a 28/30 because of their performance, Fisher disclosed he suffered a minor injury during rehearsals on Mon. “I’ve a scratched cornea [anticipated to] a toe nail in the attention,” he advised co-host Erin Andrews.

Fisher later advised reporters after the show that “everything hurts” post-performance.
“Light hurts, blinking hurts, keeping my sight available hurts, it’s hard to see but it’s just one of those freak things,” he said. “It’s definitely been the hardest few days in your competition but we’re pleased that we have been able to cover these couple of days off just like a pirate with one good leg and one good eyesight still managing to produce a trip to the finals.”
Fisher also discovered that the attention injury is repeating.
“I’ve scratched the same cornea about 4 years ago and no more than a year and a half ago did it finally get to a spot – it just takes a very long time to heal,” he said. “But I’m a big boy and it’s soreness more than anything and I could deal with this. I’m just so pleased that with the best partner in the entire world we’ve a vacation to the finals and I couldn’t be more grateful to share this night time with her.”
Cannot put into words how overwhelmed i am right with gratitude for so many things. For this partner of mine who truly had my back all week and helped me through a scary moment thinking I️ might not be able to dance tonight. The guy who week after week has gone above and beyond for me and our journey and has been such a consistently hard working partner. Not to mention the guy who could barely see out of his injured eye tonight and absolutely killed it out there. For @dancingabc for giving me an outlet to do what I️ love and express myself every week. And for all of YOU for your love and support tonight and always thank you so much!!! We would not be here in the finals without you and appreciate you so much!! Please vote tonight we need it ❤️ 1-800-868-3406 online voting link in bio #dwts
The pair also performed a jive to “Proud Mary” by Tina Turner which was formerly performed in Season 22 by mixed martial designer Paige VanZant and Make Ballas.
After gaining a perfect credit score, co-host Tom Bergeron asked Arnold if she could’ve ever truly imagined getting three 10s pursuing her accident. “Honestly no. I needed to be here with Jordan,” she said.
“So grateful so it turned out we could do this alongside one another because that was the most fun I’ve got in an exceedingly long time dancing on the show. So many thanks,” Arnold informed Fisher.

Arnold is the only real pro left in the competition who has never gained the Mirrorball Trophy.
“Lindsay injured her leg during camera blocking rehearsal Sunday morning while focusing on lots with the troupe,” a DWTS source previously told PEOPLE on Sunday.
Violinist Lindsey Stirling endured a rib injury two weeks back but danced through the pain and has remained a significant contender for the show’s top reward. “It’s doing better. We still need to be careful but it’s getting better every day,” Stirling advised reporters post-show.
Furthermore, pro Witney Carson and movie star contestant Victoria Arlen also both uncovered they suffered injuries earlier on Mon.
Dancing with the Superstars airs Mondays (8 p.m. ET) on ABC.
